Rem308
Today was 'one of those days' and I almost had to work over. When I finally did get out of the office, I hurried to a good spot to do a little squirrel hunting. I got in the woods, sat down and just enjoyed the fall colors. The temperatures are cooling off and the leaves are changing. After enjoying the peace and quiet for a while, I started hearing a squirrel and finally I caught glimpse of him through the woods. He perched on a log and I had a good 50 yard shot. I had a real good rest and squeezed the trigger and rolled him. I still didn't make the neck shot that I had tried for, but it didn't do much damage. I got him and took a few photos, didn't hear any more but it was starting to get dark so I packed it in. Headed home, after taking care of the squirrel, I went ahead and grilled some deer steaks and baked potatoes! Talk about a rough day turning nice real quick!
