fisherguy
Guys and gals please send your opinion on this ban to the following email address. [email protected] Once again the Liberals are trying to pass a law based on emotions of the city dwellers who are ignorant of the facts and contribute nothing to conservation. Make your voice heard, and please pass the message on to everyone you know.
fisherguy
Re: Lead tackle ban in Canada. No, this one is based on teh fact that 50 loons died over a 15 year period(i guarantee you 20 times more got hit by boats) The vast majority of canada is lake fishing, and with the exception of the great lakes, and a bit out west there isn't much fly fishing. RangerClay
Re: Lead tackle ban in Canada. Fisherguy, Read your proposal carefully. If it's like the one they passed here in NY they cannot sell lead sinkers in NY stores. However I can buy all I want on-line. Ranger
fisherguy
Re: Lead tackle ban in Canada. it will mean no manufacture, sale, or import of any lure or weight containing more than 1% lead. There is a size limit, anything over i foget exactly, but its big, will be allowed since ti is too big for a bird to eat. Basically it will mean no more split shot, crappie, and walleye sized jigs, sinkers, and many spoons and spinners will not be allowed since they have over 1% lead.
