Rattling question

When - Best in pre rut, 2nd best post rut.

Where - Anyplace the buck to doe ratio is relatively balanced

Time - Much better in the morning than the afternoon

Ditto.

Personally, I don't blind rattle. I only rattle when I see a deer I want to get a closer look at. Deer in my area tend to be spooky, so I don't like scaring potential deer away by blind rattling. When I do see a deer I want to rattle to, I start off very lightly at first and step it up if I need to.
