i have a question

i have these two dogs runnin around my buddy stand but it is illegal to hunt with dogs in this county. should i shoot them? i have already been told to shoot them but i dont know what to do?

If it's illegal, certainly don't shoot them.

If legal, you'll have to make that decision yourself. I think I'd first try to get the owner involved and see if he can get control of his dogs. If not, well...

the dogs dont have collars and now me and my friend have both had them chase deer off right as we raised our bows to shoot them

And there are no collars on the dogs, perhaps before shooting them you could try a different approach. Sure it may cost you a day of hunting but simply hit them with something. A sore butt is better then being dead right? If this doesnt work, well unfortunatly for the dogs you may have to take it up a notch...which I hope is not necessary.

Yea if you hit them hard enough, like a big rock or a big stick....but your gonna have to hit them hard to make sure they dont want to come back lol

a slingshot with lead balls works good too. Makes em yelp and run for home.

i use to use my paint ball gun for pesky cat's and dogs it always worked and you can practice shot placement.lol

Call animal control if they exist in your area. I wouldn't shoot a dog just because they scare deer away. Just not in me. If it was aggresive and going to hurt someone, then that is a different story.

yeah i say try other methods before you resort to killing them. but if it comes down to it, do what you gotta do.

i think i will either freeze some paintballs and shoot em or i will put marbles through the paintball gun and send them dogs runnin

Heck, If he has a strong enough bow, a field point will kill them. I'd try hitting them with something first and only as a last resort shoot them. Gobblerroller

i know this sounds stupid, but i'd trap them then give them something to make them fall asleep, then take them outta there and hand over to someone else.

I wouldn't kill the dogs, there are a lot of other things you can do. Ask around where you hunt, make some calls, go door to door if ya have to, but shooting them is seriously extreme. Short of them transforming during a full moon and eating kids that wander in the woods, I wouldn't shoot em.

Just use your head and better judgement, anytime you do something that you have to "shut up" about, it probably isn't something you should be doing.
