Slash
HOLY CRAP That's crazy, I'm not sure I want to see how this one ends. Hopefully he'll be ok, IF he's inside it, they're saying it's not a for sure thing he's inside it.

ruttinbuc
That's nuts! A hoax? Did he fall out? Is he hiding? Nuts!
MCH
They're reporting that the family can't find the boy. So either he's hiding or he fell out during the early stages of the "flight".

buckee
Those latest pictures of something falling from the balloon don't look good. I can't understand why it's taking so long to get to the scene where that picture was taken, and find out more. GEESH, this is nerve racking. :bummed:
ruttinbuc
Just incredible that something like this happened. This balloon was not even supposed to fly.
Tominator
The kid was in the attic I guess.
Ethan Givan
Yep he was never in the balloon. They say he was in the garage or something the whole time.

backwoods07
Is that the final word? Yup. Hiding in a box in the attic.
ruttinbuc
The kid was in the attic I guess. Wow what a scare. All those resources put out only to have the kid hiding in the attic. Where were the parents?
stevebeilgard
now that is the question of the day, mike. first thing rilda said is "where were the parents". no wonder our kids are in trouble.
texastrophies
Think you all are looking at this wrong. Thank God he wasn't in it or worse yet fell out. How many of you parents can actually say you knew exactly where your 6 year old kids were every second? I know I couldn't. You might know where they were supposed to be, but some kids like to investigate things they shouldn't and were told not to. JMHO

That kid was missing since 9:00 am this morning and most of the day. Yes, thank God he wasn't in that contraption.
wtnhunt
Wow what a scare. All those resources put out only to have the kid hiding in the attic. Where were the parents? Seems to be some speculation from the media that the father may have known the boy was not in the balloon. Glad the kid was ok, shame he was afraid to come out until after they discovered the basket was empty.
Swamphunter
They interviewed the father on tv and without knowing that they had some suspicions, he appeared to me at least as he was being deceptive.
GWSmith
So very happy to find out this morning that the child is safer than we thought yesterday. My second reaction to hearing the news is frustration that this may have all been the calamity of events that led us to presume the child was at such a risk. The discrepancies.. Like the older brother saying he saw the child get into the balloon then it taking off... The length of time the child was left unsupervised... Just makes me wonder if the parents were so clueless or if this was so Dad "could see really good coverage of his balloon flying on TV". It's obviously nothing personal against these people who I dont know it's just my feelings after the events and I mean them no harm. I wonder how many people feel a similar way emotionally after the twists and turns in this story?
texastrophies
Hearing this morning it was more than likely all a hoax. Apparently the family has been on the show Wifeswap a couple of times. Probably just a shot at getting some more attention. Hopefully there is something they can charge them with, and make them pay for all the expenses that were incurred. We aren't talking a few seconds or minutes here though Jeff. That kid was missing since 9:00 am this morning and most of the day. Yes, thank God he wasn't in that contraption. Did not know that, Steve.
