Invite to hunt on private land!

I was at work today (landscaper) doing a job for a family in hermantown, MN I live in Superior, WI (about 10 minutes away). The wife there tells me that they're having a problem with the deer in the area and she "really wishes somebody would come in with a bow and arrow and fix the problem"

I said I'd be happy to "fix the problem" :death:

Said they saw a big buck the other night and almost every night they come home the deer are bedded up in the yard. A non-resident tag is $140 and I would have to get permission from the police department because the land is considered City land...which hunting is allowed in this particular area.

Neighbors have been known in the past to sign off on these type of herd control hunts in the area to rid off pesky problematic deer. Is it worth it? I've already got my WI buck and am not allowed to shoot anymore bucks in WI.

They say I can have the deer, which almost means more hassle for me, because you can't transport deer across state borders I don't think and I don't really think I could do what I need to do up there as far as skinning or butchering (may be other options there, any thoughts?)

Do I give in to my ANTLER ADDICTION or do I pass it up and let somebody else take care of it?

It's eating away at me! I don't know what to do! I mean on one hand I REALLY want to go shoot another buck, but on the other hand I keep getting this feeling that I'm going to be disappointed or that it will be more trouble, time, and money than it's worth.

You can never look a gift horse in the mouth, but the decision is entirely up to you. If you think it will be more trouble than what is worth then don't. It may be a great opportunity to kill a monster suburban buck and to possibly get other properties to hunt. As far as the hearsay on just how big a buck is, is just that, hearsay. Then again it may not be. Comes down to what people consider to be a good buck. If I had a buck down and had the chance I would do it just for the experience. If it is too much of a hassle gracefully back out.
