va hunter
I have a lock on set-up in a big white oak tree that is loaded with acorns. I have a corn field on one side of me and a cedar thicket on the other side. I have been hunting that stand off and on and i am not seeing any deer. I know that they are there because there is to much deer sign for them not to be. Does any body have any suggestions on what i should do or why you think that i am not seeing any deer from that stand location.
NBomb500
If you could get yourself set in an area where you could watch the deer movement; when they are going to feed, and which trails they use to get there maybe that would help you out. I am sure you have already done that, but really watch their movement. Good luck!!! ~ NBomb500
NC8point
If you have a trail camera I would say put it up in different places around to see some deer movement
robinhood
Find there main route they take and look for deer droppins near the acorns is a good tip for you to no that there are feedin there real good. Now just because it's droppin won't methey willbe at that treetheres more trees that could be droppin closer to there route so they will feed there more .. One more thing me personally wouldn't put my stnd right on there tree droppin try backin off 15, 20 yards don't presure them to much or you might move them out
PotashRLS
Are you able to enter/exit the location without being detected? Also are you playing the wind correctly? The wind can do funny things and swirl badly in many locations. We have a spot where the wind swirls so bad that the undertow breeze blows back against the prevailing west/northwest wind. It is very difficult to hunt, especially when the leaves are on the trees.
