climbing treestands

I like my summit open shot for bow hunting, plus its only 15 lbs. The best all around is the viper, but I was used to my old loggy and didn't need a bar in front of me plus I don't mind hand climbing.

Summits are rock solid to the tree compared to my loggy and much quieter

Love my viper and open shot. The new open shot seems a bit more comfortable than the older style. I'm 6 ft 200 lbs and it's my favorite for long walks or when I'm only hunting 2-3 hours. Any time I'm hunting longer than 3 hours the viper goes with me. For my style of hunting I need both.

I agree with everyone above me. you cant go wrong with summit. i have a summit open shot and its so lightweight and fast to set up. i have found that the key is weight and setup time. nothing and i mean nothing gets me more frustrated hunting is when im carrying a heavy stand into the woods and when i finally get to my tree it takes me forever to get set up. with the open shot its super lightweight and i can be up the tree in minutes. and to put icing on the cake its really comfortable, its the perfect stand for a bowhunter so if you will be bowhunting i highly reccommend it. good luck!
