wtnhunt
Anybody got any experence with these? Yep, my black diamond likes em. We get pretty good groups out of the 240 grain tc xtp mags, and they sure do a number on these deer.
4Blade
I sighted in my Knight with them today,,,,I ordered up two 30 packs of the 240gr XTP's from Cabelas they had great reviews there so I thought I would give them a try this year.......Check out the reviews on the Cabelas web site......... :D

GWSmith
I just switched to these and found them to hit exactly where my TC Cheap Shot Sabots where hitting so it looks like they stay.

OHBucks
My father's and my Black Diamond loves the 240 gr. T/C Express with 3 pellets that gun is lethal. I will never use another load in that gun. It puts them down!!
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
I have been shooting Hornady's XTP bullets for several years out of my Knight Bighorn. I started with the 240 gr xtp in a black harvester crush rib sabot. I got quite good accuracy and the couple of deer did not seem to complain being very dead. I went to the store for more but they did not have them but had some in 250 gr so I got them and they actually inproved my accuracy. That got me to thinking so I rumaged around and came up with a 260 gr bullet somewhat like the xtp and got an improvement. I then went to my Hornady chart and found they made a 300 gr xtp. Ordered some and have never looked back since. I have recovered two of these bullets that I actually shot lengthwise through mature does and found just under the hide 30 some inches from the entry hole. Those bullets had become the deadliest mushroom in the woods. They opened up perfectly one measuring .64 inches and the one this fall shot at 40 yds had mushroomed to .666 inches both from 45 cal. Both weighed just over 291 grains so weight retention was excellent. I am not using a heavy powder load either. I use 80 gr of FFg real black powder and a musket cap for ignition. WhiteSmoke
Hornady XTP's I would recommend the HP/XTP's over the XTP/MAG's. The Mag's are designed for velocities of 1100 to 2100 fps and the HP/XTP's are designed for 800 to 1600 fps. For normal black powder loads and ranges, the HP/XTP's should perform a lot better for you. A "normal" load of 100 grains of powder should give you about 1700 fps which is perfect for the HP/XTP's but on the low side for the MAG's. I shoot a T/C Omega Z5 with 110 grains of Pyrodex RS pushing the HP/XTP bullet in an HPH 3Petal EZ sabot and have had fantastic results with that combination.
