Yeah, don't you just love it when they call first and nobody is there. It's the computer seeing if you're home. Then a bit later another call comes in and it's a voice from a computer. Then when that fails them, they phone you again with some person who can barely even speak english. :clown:

This is of course in stark contrast to the two young ladies that were driving around in the rain just a day or so ago, getting out of their car, and hanging plastic envelopes on mailboxes and doorknobs with their candidates information.

Though I do appreciate the free ink pen, free lead pencil, and the free Tootsie Roll Pop sucker...I'm getting mixed messages about the candidate who chose to give away a sucker....LOL

Not looking too good for him:clown:

i pick up the phone and tell they i plan to vote for the other person. whoever he is. they hang up fast, and you have one more call list you are off of.

Thats the problem Steve...these are all just automatic pre-recorded statements of either why the other person is bad for you or why they themselves are your only hope.

If you pickup the phone and then hang up it will redial you because the recording did not run long enough.

It's frustrating that it's not a person who would hang on the line for a moment so you could tape the phone to the vacuam cleaner and get some housework done!

Have gotten a few political calls the past couple months, but those were not pre recorded, we are on the do not call registry not sure if that helps with the political calls or not. One was about buying Newt Gingrich's book in support of ousting Obama, I talked with those folks for probably 15 minutes before they asked for money. lol. The other I did not listen to long enough to find out who they were promoting.

I did however get one about the healthcare plan that was pre-recorded a while back, that one was from the American Cancer society if I remember right.

Finally after 14 more calls since I began this post I've found some relief....from all places my cable company which has this beautiful little feature:

*77 - Anonymous Call Reject (ACR): Activate feature to reject all calls that block their Caller ID information.

From now on they can kiss my call block:bat:

If anyone is stupid enough to call using an unblocked line I pity the fool...War has been declared.
