arrow32 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 Well the first week this year of bow season I saw a whole 2 doe while in stand. What a great week. Thursday night me and my buddy had a couple come in way to late but it got dark way to fast on us so couldn't see them or even got a shot on it. Some of my stands are showing any sign. There is nothing to eat in the woods and I'm moving more towards a couple of my stands on fields for a few days see what happens. Going to be a long season I fear. This has been the worse start to any season i have ever had in my life...Dude, don't worry man, youre not the only sailor on this ship...I have a curse on me this year and can't seem to figure out what my problem (or the lands problem) is. I have passed on countelss immature bucks starting from day one...I have enounter after encounter with these youngsters but rarely see a doe. I drilled one from about 53 yds, looked like i put it right through the pump station, found minimal blood, never found my arrow, or the deer. Tracked her for about 500 yds and all i found were tiny drops here and there... I have been out about 25 times so far, sat in 5 different set ups and just can't seem to seal the deal. For me its not about not seeing any animals, its just that i rarely see does, and haven't seen a mature buck on its feet in daylight yet. Just about every deer i encounter is a buck that is just too young...I am calling it "small buck syndrome"...
