Occupancy? (Last Update)

Looks like we might be able to take occupancy of our now home this Friday!

Originally my builder was saying Monday 11/2, but now the secretary from the home office is saying possibly Friday if the bank approves the last draw.

Over a year in the planning and making, 15,000+ phone calls, a possible ulcer, being half a dad and husband, limiting my poor kids to their extra curriculars and play schedules, and it's finally coming to the end.

Don't ever build a house.

:D

I'll get some pics up when we get moved in.

That is good to hear Chris. Long ways off to go yet for us, and we were supposed to break ground before you did, been a lot of unforeseen issues here for sure. Our home should have been in the dry last month, looking like it may be the beginning of December before our contractor finishes up all of his work and my fun really begins.

Congratulations Chris! Enjoy your new home.

It is a lot of work, I did it about 6 years ago myself. There are so many little details to work out, makes you wonder if buying is better than building. Then again you know all that went into it.

Hope you have your family enjoy your new home. Enjoy the future in it my friend!

Congrats Chris!! Look forward to seeing the pictures. I would love a new house. We live in a house that has been passed down in the generations since 1875. It has been added to and then my husband stripped it down to the original oak hand worked studs and log floor joists and replaced almost everything! It is always needing something added! It would have been easier to start all new I think!!

Enjoy that new house smell!!

Well, the house is done. We had the orientation this afternoon. Not many surprises because I've been there almost everyday since we broke ground.

Congratulations, here's your home, but you can't move in.

Bank is holding it up again.

:hammer1:

Zero communication. Nobody can tell us if they've checked the house out yet or not, so we wait.

At least they're consistent. They delayed the start, now they're delaying the move in. I can't win.
