philray
Sunday morning I have a big eight pointer within eight yards of me while I was setting under a cedar tree. He stops broad side to me and I pull the trigger and.... snap, only the cap goes off. The buck's head comes up and he can't find me but knows I am close. He proceeds to put his nose up in the air to catch my scent, but still can't locate me. Couldn't get to another cap or he would have spotted me so I had to set and watch him walk away. Never before have I been so frustrated. I go back to camp and put a new cap on and the gun goes off like a charm. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I love blackpowder hunting, but sure wish I would have been hunting with my .270.

wtnhunt
Hope you run into him again. Only happened to me once with my old sidelock and it was a pretty nice for this area 8 pointer that I had the misfire on, never saw that deer again. Never have had that issue with my black diamond.
