ksmith
well i dont know if this is just my luck or anybody elses but this mourning i decided to hunt a diff stand up the road from where i usually hunt on a diff farm. i hadnt been seein many shooter bucks at my stand i usually hunt so i decided to give another stand i have a shot this mourning. had a 130 class 8 point at 15 yards and passed him up and 7 doe as well. well to get to the point i got down at 1000 this morning and drove by my other stand i usually sit at and low and behold the 2 big bucks i have on camera and on my hit list are chasing a doe around the bean stubble about 50 yards from my stand. i sit at the end of the driveway for 20 mins and watch as the bigger of the 2 chases the smaller 1 back in the woods and the big 10 point and the doe bed down at the corner of the woods 10 yards from my treestand. so i say the rut is in full action here in south centrel ohio and i have been kicken myself in the butt all day long. needless to say ill be huntin that stand come this weekend as i wont have time anymore this week to get out in the woods. Tominator
so i say the rut is in full action here in south centrel ohio and i have been kicken myself in the butt all day long. So I say that one doe came into estrous a touch early and every boy in the area knew it, and that's why you saw that action. I've only been out a few times this year, but I don't think the rut is in full swing yet.
