niet32
So I am a little confused about scoring (and will eventually take this buck to be scored). I have never had a buck I really cared about the scoring tell NOW! While my buck is not very wide it has the following measurements (avg): G1: 3 4/8G2: 10 0/8G3: 9 0/8G4: 6 4/8Circ (all 4 measurements): 16 0/0Main Beam: 17 4/8Inside Spread: 13 4/8Abnormal Point: 2 4/8 Gross: 141 I wanted to keep it simple but my confusion is on the spread. Am I counting that right? You only use the inside spread? I used the B&C scoring sheet that is automated and imagine it's 100% accurate. I guess I am just confused if this buck had a 22" spread it wouldn't make 150". Am I doing something wrong?????? Thanks for any help! I am really confused as to what you have done....you need to get all those measurements from each antler (G's, & C's) + the inside spread if (it is not more than either main beam) + the length of each main beam...and all abnormal points...add all that crap together to get your gross, subtract abnormal points to get a rough net score. i.e. L IS R G1 G1 G2 G2 G3 G3 G4 G4 C1 C1 C2 C2 C3 C3 C4 C4 Right MB Left MB Total R + Inside Spread + Total L = total gross Total gross - Abnormal points - deductions (unsymetrical sides)= net by the way, welcome to the forums! niet32
Sorry- Those are the scores of both sides averaged so I didn't have to input them all. You did answer my question though. Thanks!
LLBUX
Looks like the beams are longer than that. Did you measure from the base to tip around the curve? Good buck-
