The Kid Posted October 29, 2009 Report Share Posted October 29, 2009 ok so i have a story to tell you,, I walk into my math class sit down,, class starts up and the teacher walks in,, usually we chat it up before he starts teaching,, so our teacher has this article from some magezine and he starts telling us what its about,, the story is about how kids this day in age are always worrying about there cell phones, and facebook,, always wasting time with things that dont matter rather focusing on things that do matter,, he then asks us how many of us study with the computer on, facebook, or texting in class when they should be focusing on what the teacher is trying to teach ,,and nobody raised there hands well obvisouly everyone wasn't going to raise their hands,, he then tells us that kids our age need to just take a step back and look at the bigger picture and see whats important,,And i know it, todays teens would rather be inside than out,, which isn't me but it's the majority,, so im on the same page as our teacher im agreeing with him,, his story last for about 15 minutes or so,, all of a sudden a girl that sits right in front of me raises her hand and ask the teacher if he can start teaching the class,, my jaw dropped,, how disrespectful i wish some girl would have went up to her and smacked her in the face,, the teacher didn't know what to say,, he then said well im sorry for boring you to all of the students,, not 5 minutes into him teaching us the new section a phone goes off,, bahah ya you guessed it the girl that raised her hand to ask the teacher if he could teach us the lesson ya her phone went off:hammer1:,, and shes scrambling to get it to shut off,, i could feel about 30 eyes on her,, i look around the classroom and people are shaking their heads,, i look at the teacher and he's shaking his head,, he then walks into the middle of the classroom and said i hope this is a wakeup call and you can tell he is baiscally saying this to the girl,, the girl then says well this isn't the phone i usually have??? The teacher looks her square in the eyes and says I don't Care.. ya well hopefuly she wakes up, i could tell she was pretty rattled,, i just think god has a pretty good sense of humor!!:clown::clown: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I definitely have to agree with your teacher about kids wanting to spend more time indoors playing XBOX and Playstation. I know some kids in my hometown that don't even have a work ethic. All they have ever known is playing video games and sittin on their butts doing absolutely nothing.It definitely makes me mad to see those kinds of kids. And they act the same way towards their elders as the girl in your class did. They are disrespectful just like that. If I ever acted the way some of the kids do these days towards their parents or grandparents or other elders I woulda been knocked into last year and not known how to find my way back. I wish they'd just kick them out....never did, just threatned to kick em out.... Kids are really disrespectful these days...no not all of em...but being 25/26 into years 5 and 6 of college....well alot of people younger then me... I have to say though I do have classes where I dont want the professor to stand up there and talk...i want them to teach. A perfect example is my Math class. My Math professor likes to stand up there and tell stories too, but when he does that, he isnt covering the math in that section of the book. So he cuts his teaching time short and we miss out on instruction for the last half of the stuff in the chapter. But he still sends us home with homework on everything in that section even though he didnt teach it. He takes up homework a grades it too.
