Caribou Hunts

I went with Safari Nordique a few years ago. Caribou were hard to hunt and that is to be expected. Great guides and good food.

Draw backs.... Meat was spoiled and we did not get our own meat back. It was just thrown together in a box. Capes were also rotten when we got back. The weather was warm and they did not take care of either.

For the price of 2999 at that time I was disappointed. I believe that now they charge 4000.

I would not recommend them

good luck

i have heard from a couple guys from around here that a caribou hunt is one of the easiest they have done!!They went right at the migration period and alls they had to do is chase packs all day and sit and glass till they found one they liked!!Thats all i heard and it is second hand info so don't take me as saying it as an experience myself cuz i too would love to go hunt them!!

yep, that's the way it happens. sometimes. i've been on 3 hunts where i saw 10,000 caribou in a week. i went on another where i saw about 10 all week long. it all depends on the outfitter. most have a bunch of camps and they fly you into the ones with animals coming through. others have camps they put you in, and maybe there are animals and maybe not.
