Griz Posted October 30, 2009 Report Share Posted October 30, 2009 Well I shot me a small spike with 8 stickers this morning... After a long walk throught the mud and water I finally got to where I wanted to set up at... At 8am. this morning I had 6 Does and 4 Fawns come in millin' around and browsin' on leaves and grass... As I was watching the Does they were nerves and kept looking back and working that nose of there's. I thought at first I was going to be busted... At 8:15am. The Does and Fawns decided they had enough and left... Shortly after they stepped back into the timber I caught some movement off to my left... In a short time I saw that it was a Buck and a shooter at that... All I had to do is wait for him to step into my shooting lane witch seemed like life time... At 8:30am the brute was down... I had a 60 yard shot...Perfect double lung... He ended up travling about 150 yards before he piled up... Time to break out the bow again and go after the big drop tine... He weighed in at 140lbs... 8 point with a 23 inch spread... I couldn't be happier... Off to the Taxidermist he goes... I'm Excited!!!!
