Shawn
A couple of people had said they had seen bucks chasing does. I really didnt believe it considering how early it is in the season. Around 5pm a doe and fawn cut through the swamp i hunt the edge of. Bout 20 minutes passed and a small buck came trotting through the woods nose to ground right on that doe's trail. not more than 5 minutes later a second buck came nose to ground following her trail. I didnt see them chase the doe but man it looks like they are gettin into it. any of you seen them chasing?

stcif
Bucks are chasing, or maybe following is a better word. 2 1/2 year old 6 pointer was right on a doe today. I litterally have taken thousands of shots since last season. So today when the buck is 10 yards broadside I shoot way high and I actually think now that I hit him above the spine. Arrow buried to the fletching and no blood for a 1/2 mile. then blood on both sides of hsi tracks. Dark muscle blood. Then blood stopped. Frustrating to say the least. Looked most of the day for him and I am convinced he survived and no vitals were hit. At first I thought I hit him below the spine and caught a lung on the opposite side. That proved not to be the case. No lung blood. No blood spraying from nostrils.
