doubledrop
my daughter is 16 months old now and she can already identify a whitetail deer, yelp like a hen and hoot like an owl. after reading all of her elmo books to her we then turn on the outdoor channel for a little whitetail action. it is so nice to see her get so excited when she sees a deer. my wife is telling me to let her be a girl, and i told her i am letting her be what she wants to be. i am just seeing if she has the passion, and clearly she has it so we will continue doing what we do until she is old enough to hit the stand with me. stevebeilgard
way to start her off. take her to the blind before she's 4, and let her shoot a bb gun pretty soon.
wyohunter
thats awesome, someday she might want to be a "girlie girl" but let it be her choice
buckee
way to start her off. take her to the blind before she's 4, and let her shoot a bb gun pretty soon. Yeah for sure. I had a used BB gun when I was 6 from the neighbour, and got a pellet gun when I was 8. The only stipulation was that I didn't shoot any song birds, so I used to put bread out in front of our picnic table in the back yard. I had a dark blanket draped over the table, and I would sit there for hours plunking off starlings and grackles.

bfletch7441
I've been taking Lillie with me for 2 years now, and I've never had more fun hunting!. She just turned 5 this October, so I've got a few years before it's her turn behind the trigger. These are the best times of my life!!! Ashley
There's nothing wrong with that! Better to start them early than late!! In almost every tape of me when I was little, my dad is asking me questions about deer, geese, and bear and I answer them all. I plan on doing the same thing with my son, too. There's nothing cuter than a little hunter
