ALAN Posted October 31, 2009 Report Share Posted October 31, 2009 iowas numbers for pheasant hunting is way down this year.. today is opening day i went out for 4 hrs didnt see any or didnt kick any up i dont have a dog... i hunt road ditches public areas....what i do when i walk a ditch is park my truck where the ditch starts walk up to next road which is usuailly 1 mile..i do this all day long from 8am to 4 pm and have yet to get me one.. am i doing something wrong?? In the area you were hunting were there standing corn, could of been in there, ummm. Here in michigan finding a good wild phesant hunting spot is like finding a huge pile of gold in a GIANT pile of crap...lol....What was the winter like last year?....OR perhaps someone one was already there Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
