sskybnd Posted November 2, 2009 Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 this is a rant, well im in my deerstand and its getting close to prime time, i hear what sounds like a climber about 100 yards from me, now i have this little 40 acre lease, but theres a 300 acre lease behind mine, thinking it is one of them that are from dallas, dont pay to much to it couse im close to the line.than about 4'30 my cell phone vibrates in my pocket and, and i say hello in a low voice and this guy says is this robert, i say yes, than he startes to chew me out, and says if i have a lock on the gate bordering my lease that he would cut it off that im not going to use that road to get to the back of my lease, say im getting more peed off listening to him i say fine buddy i'l just cut a trail beside the gate as long as im on my lease you can have the gate, than he tells my i dont have the lease and he knows the gamewardens and such, i tell him so do i, but i also have the paper work to show the lease is mine, than i tell him were going to put a camp down that road on our land and he tells me the f im not hes hunting about 80 yards from there, theres no land there that he can hunt becouse, i know who has the other leases, so this week end its the guys that have the 500 next to me and us and the game wardens to get this settled, think it might be the one that lost the lease and we got it for him not paying on time. He'd let that F bomb pop out of his mouth about once before he got reminded of his southern manners his mama taught him. Let the landowner settle this....I wouldn't deal with the jerk face to face, otherwise ya might be tempted to knock his block off. sskybnd Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 yea kat, it takes guts to cuss someone out he's never met, you just know when some ones going to get you riled up from the first words, im sure were going to get to the bottom us this this weekend, gun season starts the 14 and i dont need a yahoo hunting some place next to me, that he hasnt got permission, or a lease to boot. hopefuly there wont be a need for back up, hopefuly we can come to an undersatnding about what were going to on our lease,if not im sure i can chain his tower stand to the 4 wheeler and drag it out for him, but we will see where he stands this weekend on if he can hunt there or not Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm having a similar problem down on the farm I've hunted for over 18 years now. We have had an unwelcomed guest there for the past 4 years, who sneeks in behind us through one of the neibours property's. I reported him to the game warden a few years ago, but I guess nothing was done. I saw him down there the other night, and confronted him again. He tried to tell me, he is the only one that has permission to hunt there. I immediately went home and emailed the land owner and got a nice reply back from him. There are now 2 signs hanging in the bushes where he sits, I made them up, with the land-owners quote from his email. I hope it works, for us and I hope you can get your dispute settled real quick too. I have had people who live up this easment road that boarders state land, try to run me off. The law is clear on these roads as being public access because the state land is not land locked. sskybnd Posted November 3, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2009 well we called the paper co that we lease the land from and told her what was going on, when i told her his name she said that her and him already had the discusion that he does not have any part of the lease becouse of non payment or any thing around it, told her that he said we couldnt put a camp where we wanted it and she said we have the lease and we could camp any where on it we wanted to, and we told her that he useing his vehical to block us from getting to the back side, she said to call the gamewarden, and the police the next time and have it towed away, so ok we do that whats to say this crum does'nt tear our stuff up or steal our stands. kinda frustrated couse i see a no win situation, tick him off and have our stuff stolen or tore up. any sugestions... Would not be smart at all since everyone including the paper company knows the guy by name. Sounds to me like he's angry already, which makes you and your equipment already in peril. You have to stand up to this guy. If he gives you any more trouble, call the gamewarden or and the police.
