My god father had this rifle built and we just got it last week. Havent had a chance to shoot it yet but saw the targets that the gunsmith shot with it and ITS A SHOOTER to say the least. My god father lives in Louisiana and he left it at my parents house for me to shoot whenever I want to. Built by a guy in Conrad MT. McMillan stock, Lilja barrel, 8 oz Jewel Trigger, and Tactical 300 action. Topped with a Nightforce 5.5-22X56mm Scope. Chambered in 338 Edge which is a 300 ultramag case necked up to 338 cal. Shooting 300 gr Sierra Match King bullets. Easily a 1000 yard hunting rifle. Besides the fact that it weighs a little over 17lbs. l cant wait to try this rifle out! Ill absolutely post pics and maybe video of me shooting it. here is the pics guys!

wow is all i can say!!No wait you have to hear this one!! Last week i was at the range with my two boys target shooting and a guy pulled in that we all knew!! He got out like he had something that we just couldn't wait to see!!! He said he had an easily 1000 yrd rifle!!Couldn't wait to see it right,,lol, out comes this little h&r single shot 220 swift!!LMAO!! But i just let him boast since i knew nothing of this caliber!! I thought maybe it might travel that far being a little lead and all but will it be worth anything when it got there was the question??Not to steal your thread just reminded me of this!!Nice rifle you got there!!

of course a 220 swift will shoot 1000 yards but that little bullet just doesnt have the BC to buck the wind. even a little slight wind. I absolutely can not wait to shoot this gun. That 300gr SMK will hopefully lay a deer or elk maybe even a wolf on the ground sometime this season.

I havent done any 1000 yard shooting but Im about to learn!

Shoot it in when it's about 0 degree's out with a 30-40 mph wind that's whipping every which direction. I don't know many that do...most shoot in real pleasant conditions and there's no comparison.

Have a good rangefinder? You'll need it. A good spotter would help too.

I can't imagine being by yourself taking a shot like that in freezing temps with a wind blowing snow or sleet and then walking 1000 yards to where you "thought" you shot that game. Lord have mercy.

she's a beauty. have fun packing that around in the mountains :D

Was thinking the same thing, would not want to tote it around the mountains. Great looking rifle.

Let us know how it shoots for you coles. Like others have said, would imagine the recoil would not be too bad with it being 17 lbs and having the brake.
