stevebeilgard
the liberals got a solid bashing this evening. i'm anxious to see what they say about it. i'm thinking it will be pretty well ignored in hopes it fades away, but who knows. i do know that obamacare died tonight. the libs will NEVER get the 60 votes now. all the blue dogs will turn tail & run. and i just love how the rino rupublican supported the democrat, and lost. :hammer1:
RangerClay
The Libs did not get a total bashing. For those of us who are conservative and live in the 23rd district, we are crushed. The news says it was not a very important victory but it hurts bad. I love northern NY but it is tough to live in the land of Liberals. Now we have a Lib in our own back yard. I am disgusted with the way the election was handled in the last couple days . Many of you will not hear about because of the liberal media. Many people are not aware that there was a meeting between Dede Scozzafave, Chuckie Schumer, and another key Senator that Nancy Pelosi sent on Sunday before before she endorsed Bill Owens. I would give anything to have been a fly on the wall and find out what Chuckie and Nancy offered Dede for her endorsement of Bill Owens. I find it VERY suspicious. It is amazing what the dark side will do to solidify a vote for their party. I feel like they cheated but I know it is politics as usual. "Dede! You have no idea of the power of the Dark Side!" smallmunster
A liberal republican lost (actually dropped out) and the 3rd party conservative candidate came pretty close to winning over the blue dog democrat that won. I'd be worried if I was a dem and an unknown 3rd party candidate almost beat me. The republicans put up a terrible candidate and it cost them. It was so bad she dropped out early (still got 5% as her name was still on the ballot) and endorsed the democrat. If I heard right the dem was considered more conservative than the republican.
