Rem308
> > > > > > > > > This morning was a great morning, bucks were pushing does and activity was constant. I was in my stand early and as it started breaking daylight I could already hear footsteps in the frosted leaves. I had several does feed through from different directions and saw a small fork horn buck cruise through around 9:00 AM. I grunted a few times and turned him back from the field he was in and he came within 40 yards of my tree. Great morning. I kept grunting occasionally throughout the morning. Finally I heard something coming through and this small buck was sneaking in from behind. He turned and was sniffing the air and gave me a good quartering away shot. The Muzzy MX3 did it's job, took out the lungs and he ran off and crashed. I wasn't 100% about the shot, so I gave him a few hours, but when I did trail him, he'd crashed in a creek bed about 100 yards away. My first archery buck, & to say I am pleased is an understatement. He isn't the biggest buck in the woods, but certainly got my blood boiling. What a great hunt.

Rem308
Thanks folks, I'm really pleased to finally have gotten a buck with the bow. I have been fortunate to take a few does, but waiting and trying to make everything work out on a buck is pretty dang exciting. I won't forget this one.
