SE_KSBowhunter
Just came back in from checking one of the trail cams a little while ago and had a few new shooters that showed up. Everything should be ready to go as long as mother nature will cooperate with us. It is warm and wind is not the best but looks like that is supposed to change in a couple of days. Hope Tim and Rodney have safe flights and I will see you guys tomorrow afternoon!

ruttinbuc
I remember doing a September ML hunt in Jewell County once. I think the wind was like 30 mph pushing 85 degree temps. Felt like a blast furnace. Found out that heat gear is good stuff. Should have shot the first buck I saw as it was the best of only 5 for the week. What they say about not passing up the first day what you would shoot the last. Would love to get back there in November! I killed a nice one in Nov. 2004. It was warm.... I did try to still hunt in the wind. Got busted a lot! Edited November 7, 2009 by ruttinbuc

SE_KSBowhunter
Back in from tonights sit. Tim saw 8 does and one buck, but couldn't get a good look at the buck's size, didn't think it was a shooter. They were covered up in does all evening, I finally had to drive in to pick them up after dark because they couldn't get down. We'll try again tomorrow morning.
