MUDRUNNER
Bond seems to be a pretty solid county for deer hunting. Big bucks killed there every year. I live right next door in Madison county, and actually am hunting on a buddies place by Greenville lake a few times this year. If your family has the land you might as well go for it. mastr001
when does the rut usually start? And being out of state what are the steps i would have to take to hunt it?
ruttinbuc
Best bet would be to contact fish and game. I know there is a draw for shotgun hunting. Bowhunting should be over the counter. http://www.realtree.com/resources/dnrs.php Click on the state of Illinois for the IDNR contact info. fly
when does the rut usually start? And being out of state what are the steps i would have to take to hunt it? Pre-rut chasing phase started last week. The rut will kick in next week. Right now is a great time to be hunting in IL.! Shotgun 1st season is post-rut (generally about 1 week).
