Eric
Hello Buddy Tell me about it. I am from Iowa to. I hit a branch on a brute early in the morning on last Tuesday. I have been sitting on stand for long hours and deer activity has been a slim sine my encounter with him. I have yet to see him again yet either. I hope temp drops and can get another crack at him but I really doubt I will have an opportunity at him again. He was the biggest I have had in range ever I and think he may be avoiding area now. Need some does to bring him back if I am to have a chance again I believe. Guess that is how it goes that why its hunting. I just hope when temps drop the darn wind will be calm! Good luck buddy! Ravin R10 man
IKC...how is the crop doing? I heard some are finding mold on the corn & beans because of the rain. Was also wondering how the moisture level is, were still looking at 30% up here, it should drop some this week as we have clear skies and wind with temps to be in the 50's as far as deer go..the little guys are starting to chase but I dont think it's going to break loose til next week
I.K.C.
We are testing at 30%, no mold tho. Was it Monday or Tuesday it was done in the low 30's I seen two shooter, the one only gave me the quartering to shot, so I didn't take it. The other was on a doe and well... You all know how that goes. I've only seen 3 shooters this whole season. Next week its gonna be back in the 30's for the lows so it should be better. I get to hunt almost everyday... To tell you the truth I'm getting burned out, I'm seriously ready for late muzzle loader. It better get better quick. Good luck guys! Tominator
Same for Ohio. Too warm. The mornings are OK, but the evenings are just too hot. We did see a fair amount of deer, especially mornings, but the afternoon sit is pretty disappointing.
