mrswtnhunt
Just wanted to share with my fellow women hunters that I really miss my baby. He (wtnhunt) is up in Wisconson with Randy on a deer hunt. He has been gone 5 days now, seems like an eternity. My in-laws just left about an hour ago. They came to help me with the kids. Now it is just us girls at home. He plans on coming back home Monday. Now I know how he felt while Christina and I were gone to Alaska for those 2 weeks. I sure do miss him.... He never knows what he's coming home to. I love to see the look on his face when he first comes in and goes to drop something on a table or chair...that isn't there anymore! :clown:

mrswtnhunt
My wife (Candace) said she couldn't take it .. me away for so long.. Nine days in Illinois. She wants to join me next time..lol Do it! I would love to be able to go on a hunt with my hubby. It is kinda hard with the 3 kids. Usually we can get his parents to help for short periods at a time. Like this time, in which they pretty much watched the youngest while I was at work. We just don't have anyone to watch them for days at a time. Maybe when the kids get grown up and off to college we might go on a hunt together. Enjoy your time with Candace and take her with you next time. You'll be glad you did. It is pretty special when a husband and wife can share the same interests, like hunting. Makes your relationship so much stronger. Thanks for the support guys. I am going out in the morning for our ML opener. I am taking our middle daughter, Nicole, with me and my oldest is babysitting the little one. I hunt right here on my property, so I am only a walkie-talkie call and a few hundred yards from the house. Gonna be interesting without wtnhunt here to help me gut the thing if I get one. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there......lol

Guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there......lol That's what neighbors are for. one of my girlfriends live like 15 miles from her nearest neighbor (who is WAY HOTT btw) and after she got a deer, didn't have the guts to gut it. so all the guys in the surrounding 35 miles (including Mr. Hottness) brought all their deer over and did a barn raising of sorts...only it was deer gutting. it was so fun. There were probably 25-30 deer and everyone helped eachother. it was great!!! Now it's a tradition of sorts and i'm planning on joining in once I start going hunting

mrswtnhunt
Thanks guys for the support. Fixin to head out here in a few minutes. Sunrise is at 6:23am, planning on getting to the stand about 5:45am. Still a pretty full moon here, looking like I won't even need a flashlight. My dad lives about 3 miles from me. I'll probably call him to help if I need it.
Doe-ee
HaHaHa...those times are the greatest. I did it to my ex-fiance all the time...it would confuse the heck outta him moved his bed once while he was at work that was probably the best ever LoL Let me clarify....I don't re-arrange furniture just to screw him up. It's meant to pass the time more quickly. That's what neighbors are for. one of my girlfriends live like 15 miles from her nearest neighbor (who is WAY HOTT btw) and after she got a deer, didn't have the guts to gut it. so all the guys in the surrounding 35 miles (including Mr. Hottness) brought all their deer over and did a barn raising of sorts...only it was deer gutting. it was so fun. There were probably 25-30 deer and everyone helped eachother. it was great!!! Now it's a tradition of sorts and i'm planning on joining in once I start going hunting I can't imagine ANY hunter saving the gutting so they can get together and make a party out of it, never mind 25 to 30 all on the same day! Really??
dance.and.shoot
I can't imagine ANY hunter saving the gutting so they can get together and make a party out of it, never mind 25 to 30 all on the same day! Really?? yeah....it's a bunch of rednecks. they wouldn't really save it. they'd pick a day during the hunt and do it that day. if you didn't get a deer that day, then you'd pretty much be on your own. every once in a while, they do 2 or 3 days of the hunt, but not often and it's kinda an all day event. they're all really fast at it too. it's really just an excuse for everyone to get together to drink beer and dance...the deer gutting is the best excuse to use...i still don't understand completely why they do it, if I do go, i just go for the dancing and food (and Mr. Hottness)

mrswtnhunt
sorry, but thats asking to spoil meat... i gut then ice down my game asap Yeah, same here. We go straight from the field to the cooler on ice within a couple hours. I talked to him last night and they were looking for a deer that Randy had shot. wtnhunt told me that he will be heading home on Monday. I better get busy cleaning the house before he gets home............lol

Alisha
Mrs. - It's definitely not easy being apart but consider yourself lucky that he's only gone for this little bit of time. Justin is a long line fisherman during the summer and is gone for 5 days at a time. Home for a day or two and then is gone for another 5 days. They usually make 9 trips like this back to back. If he went on a swordfishing boat he'd be gone for 2 weeks or more at a time!
mrswtnhunt
HE IS HOME.......WOOHOO.....I got the house mostly cleaned before he got home. Boy was I glad to see him. All the kids ran up and hugged his neck. I'll let him update everybody on what he brought home from Wisconson. Thank you to everybody for the moral support while he was gone.
