brendonp
Hello everyone, I am new here to the Realtree website. I am looking for information on what trail cameras, everyone prefers to use. This is going to be my first trail camera purcahse, and I want the best camera no matter the cost. Here is the cirteria I am looking at (in no particular order): Durability & Weather Resistance Battery Life IR Flash or Regular Flash Still Photo or Video capable Trigger speed Storage/Viewing of Photos Ease of Use Distance of photography I am currently leaning toward the Cuddeback IR or NoFlash. I apoligize if this is not the correct forum to post this question in and any help to steer me in the correct direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
layin on the smackdown
Well if you got the cash, your best bets our one of two...and one is REALLY expensive. Reconyx makes one heck of a trail camera, but it runs in the 5-6 hundred dollar range - not something i would feel comfortable leaving out in the woods for someone to take or break... your other best bet is the Cuddeback IR. I have heard nothing but great things about this camera. I can't see myself dropping 2 bills on a trail camera, so i would go with the new Wild Game Innovations IR 4...have heard nothing but great reviews on those as well. By the way, Welcom to the forums!!! hope you stick around.
Muleyman
welcome to the forum. This is proof that you don't have to pay much to get a good trail cam. I have a moutrie D40 and it has awesome battery life, good picture quality, durable, easy to use. This is the first season I have had it and I have found all of those good things in it so I'm sure I will find out a whole bunch more good stuff. So I would no doubt reccomend the Moultrie D40.
