de_ballew
Is everyone afraid to stand up against this? This would be destroyed if it were a Miss White Florida. Please America stop being a bunch of you know what's. Speak out against this double standard. http://www.news-journalonline.com/NewsJournalOnline/News/Local/newEAST02110809.htm

stevebeilgard
it's nothing new, and nothing big. it's just another in a long line of double standards. like honkey, cracker, etc. just try diminishing a black, and the ole double standard will come full force. Ashley
It's a weird double standard our society has made. There's nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage/origin/ethnicity, etc. but it seems the minute you try to defend it, for instance if a white person were even to simply pose a question about this pageant, he/she would more than likely immediately be dubbed "racist" for just asking the question. Unfortunately, double standards have been around for a while and society is pretty good at creating them, so I don't really see them going away any time soon. That is the sad truth and it surely does not help with divisiveness or the separation that those ahead of them fought so hard to overcome. Pointing out or questioning something you see should not have others immediately judging you or dubbing you as a racist, if anything imo it would make that person/group who is judging no better than what they are assuming of the person they are judging, seems a rather hypocritical action to make those types of assumptions/judgements. redkneck
Just like the commercials that are so PC. Ever seen an ADT commercial where there's actually a black guy breaking into a house? Nope. They may show a white guy breaking in on a black family, but too afraid to drop in a black guy as a perp in anything you see on TV advertising. The_Kat
Did we not just have this same issue ( along the lines of being white n proud ) a few weeks ago. It's BS, it will always be BS. Down with white people. Down with hard working citizens. Down with Jesus! Down with anything and anyone who is positive in this country.
