Beautiful morning this morning, it was. From a beautiful sunrise to the lucky buck I let walk. The little doe came in right below me right after the 7 point passed. She was a bit confused as to where the commotion was coming from as I was in the process of performing a high wire act behind her. The ratchet strap on the ladder I was in let loose a bit and scared the crap out of me. I had to tighten it back up of course. Just had to stop and get a picture of her confusion. :)

Whew, glad that guy in that ladder didn't see me! I 'll have to be more careful...

What was that?

Now let's see...how does this radar work?

Dang, can't remember what mother taught me on this stuff!

Oh well, must of been nothing...

Now where was I going anyway?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I truly enjoy sharing this stuff! :paint:

There is so much hype and emphasis on the kills that a lot of what bow hunting is all about is lost in the shuffle. I don't have to kill anything to have a successful day.

Those little ones are always entertaining..eh Mike:):clown:

Yes, they are, Steve! I get a big kick out of watching their innocence! She'll learn, unless she gets knocked off.

Excellent morning, Mike! That is a really cool picture of the buck casually leaving the scene.
This buck looked like he worked all night when he popped out of the corn and came strutting down the two track 15 yards behind me. I picked up the bow to shoot, but I hung it up and reached for the camera instead. I almost didn't get the picture. There are bigger bucks than this guy and if given a few years he will be a real dandy!

oh and p.s.

I love the commentary!!! :)

Thanks, I do that now and then to break up the monotony! :clown: Every picture tells a story...

That is what makes bowhunting so enjoyable. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Ya know the doe would have been 5pts for us and some tasty venison in your freezer;):eat:

That little girl might have weighed all of 40 lbs after a good hard rain. Looks like a late one. I have seen her on a few occasions. Must be an orphan. She is always alone. Good eating yes, but I like giving these young ones a chance. Besides, the buck would have given us 12 points. :)
