dartonman
They are the only ones on the road at 420am in the morning. I, along with my buddy Adam decide to leave my home early and head to an old woods I have hunted only during the rut. I have a new hang on, along with brand new climbing sticks, so we leave extra early. Well, it happened. I was about 60 yards behind a SUV, see him hit his brakes lights, then we see headlights, then nothing...we both look at each other, and yep., the car had flipped once, and was now on its side, still smokin' as we just witnessed it. I call 911 immediately to get the good guys coming, while Adam checks for injuries. The beligerant 18 year old young man screams at us, "whatever you do, dont call the f**** cops, and the fresh smell of booze fills the cool morning air" He is uninjured, but really drunk, and really stupid. Needless to say, after he picked a fight with me, and called his mom on speaker phone, who seemed as intelligent as him..lol, or worse, the cops made it in 10 minutes, and my new found friend "Seth" is in cuffs going to jail. What an idiot, truly stupid to be totally blitzed at 18, and driving down gravel country roads at 420am......he was arrested for DUI, Improper lane usage, illegal consumption alcohol as a minor, and several other charges I didn't catch.....I still got to the woods in plenty of time to get set up.....what a morning. I am amazed at the newest 911...they "pinged" my phones GPS, because some of the roads I travel are unmarked, and they had my location immediately, within five feet of the drive of an abandoned farm, truly amazing technology. al
Doe-ee
There is simply no excuse for driving drunk. Stupid is as stupid does. Glad you guys were out of harms way. I have to look into that GPS.

mike13candace
Funny you mentioned the drunks on the road. I had the same thoughts this Saturday morning. No sightings.. Dumb #ss at 18.. sounds like mom has a drinking problem to go with her attitude. LOL
buckee
The way I see it, the kid was lucky you were there. Let's just hope he's off the road for a while and learns something from this. Heck, maybe his Mom will learn something too. Glad no one was hurt, and you got to your stand OK

dartonman
I am fascinated that the newer cell phones can get "pinged" or located within 5 feet of your location, if he was injured, it would of really helped medical personel., he almost became injured when he decided to challenge a testosterone driven 41 year old bowhunter., I did forwarn him though, I beat on convicts for 14 years, I still havent forgot how much I enjoyed it..lol..he either needs to clean up his act, or he will be involved in many more boughts with the law....real trash talking punk. al

The_Kat
good thing for him he's 18 and maybe will learn a lesson from this. It wasn't that long ago I was that drunk driving 18 year old who wrecked his parents brand new car after a night out. Lucky for me I wasn't caught or arrested. But the look on my parents face was all that it took to end my drinking days. Lets hope the same for seth!
LifeNRA
Most phones now have the GPS location once 911 is called, its built into the phone. But yeah I have had my share of idiots on the road at that time! Grrrrrrrr!

Jeramie
People make bad choices. At least this little moron gets a chance to live and learn.... Hopefully he will learn.
Ashley
First of all, he's lucky to be alive and extremely lucky he wasn't seriously injured. It's a good thing you were there in case something would have been wrong. Second, what an idiot. Nothing good ever comes from drinking, and especially driving while drunk. Hopefully he learns from this incident, but from the sounds of how his mother acted, he probably wasn't raised to have the greatest morals... We had an accident happen like this about a mile down the road from my house a few years back. Some kids from my school were coming from one graduation party, drunk of course, and going to another party in the early morning hours. They went flying off the corner of the road, rolled their vehicle several times, and missed a power pole by inches. No one found them for over three hours. They all survived, but one shattered her pelvis, another damaged vertebrates in his neck and back, and the other one broke his collarbone and also had neck damage. Two of them learned their lesson, but one is still drinking, doing drugs, and now has a baby. :hammer1:
