The Kid
> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Lets go back a couple days when my dad went out for the first time this year on Monday,, hes really not into killing big deer just would rather see them but i really want him to kill a buck with a bow to know how it feels. So i let him sit in my stand on tuesday he had 12 deer come out at the bottom of the field 80 yards south of him, well i tell that there is a tree we can set a stand in,, so tuesday we find this old tree thats kinda shaky i can tell he is kinda nervous, but we get it all set up and hes feeling good about it, well we go out on friday night i sit about 400 yards away from him in a hay field, i see a couple does and he says he bumps a doe when he got up in his stand. there is an apple tree 50 yards south of him and she was bedded right under neath it. So Saturday night comes and he decided to sit in the stand again i again sit in my other stand, he comes into the house saying he bumped another doe and a huge buck under the same apple tree, he says he got up not knowing whats going on walked across the road into another corn field but before dark he came back across the road and started eatin apples and knocking down the apples from the tree, he knows deer but sometimes he get excited and thinks there bigger than there actually are if you get my drift,, so he tells me hes gonna watch the football game today so go and sit in the stand he was sitting in so now its today and i get out there and get settled in so hot and miserable bugs everywhere it gets so bad i have to strip and take off one of my long sleeve shirt, well 5 oclock roles around and im sitting there so miserable and i hear a grunt, not believeing its actually a grunt, i think im going crazy i hear it again and then again i look down the fence row right where my neighbor is cutting corn and i see a deer, first thought is theres the doe wheres the buck,, i go to grab my binos and notice a deer in front of the deer i spotted,, check umm both out and holy smokes dad wasn't kidding hes a wallhanger,, first thought was drew you better settle down or your gonna screw this up,, she gets about 60 yards away and all of a sudden 4 does bust out of the corn across the field and start working there way 70 yards north of me right under my other stands im like this isn't good more eyes to spot me draw back, well the doe the bucks is following starts walking towards these does and im like this isn't good shes way to far off not gonna get a shot, well the 4 does run into the fence row making loud noises the one doe vears off right to me, at this point i can feel my whole body pulsating like our electric fense for our horses:hammer1:. she comes in 25 yards right towards the apple tree,, i let her get to the apple tree so she doesn't bust me pulling back on the buck i stop him 25 yards hold steady and let him have it, never had a shot so beautiful in my life double lung ran across the road and died right next to the road, i was little concerned b/c my dad lost a giant buck the same way somebody took it,, i never was so excited after a shot,, i felt like the whole tree was shaking bahah:clown:,, i'm so stoked, haha funny thing is when the buck was coming in i can remeber praying to god to let me shoot strait, no joke!!! i got to thank the lord for this beautiful buck!!!
