Adjam5
The last 2 weeks this coon has been giving me the slip. I thought he wouldn't fit into the trap I had. I was told by another forum member that it would find a way to fit if the trap had what it wanted. It found a way to fit. Looks like it won't fit right? Look at he fur. It is prime as prime can be. The hair ends are silver. I caught 2 coons with this type fur. I am tanning both of them for the country house wall. Look at the fat layer on this bad boy. oneshot
Congrats on another coon...Good job!!! Now for the bad news, that's not the coon you were trying to get. Look at the 2 pics, the tail rings appear to be different. Your journey is not yet over. He is still out there laughing at you. (they love to giggle at us critters trying to catch them...lol) Keep goin, you'll get him if he's still around.....:cowboy:

TN Bucknasty
Very nice! Folks would eat that sucker around here. I got a 60lb. beaver last night in a trap. I told my wife I was going to skin it and use if for our kid's halloween costume.
redkneck
Glad you got that one out of the woods Anthony. You know what's funny? It's funny how when you catch them things they start grabbing everything they can and pulling it into the trap. I've had them in the back of my truck and get into a trash bag I was going to throw in the dumpster and pull every scrap of junk in there they could. Maybe you want to take the kid to wally world and pick something out and sell that beaver hide:). Yeah those coons are quite creative with the way they can get into things. Lucky for us... It is their demise.

buckee
Way to go. I need one of them traps. A coon came along and ate all the goldfish out of my pond the other night. Are you going to make a coon-skin cap ?
Adjam5
Way to go. I need one of them traps. A coon came along and ate all the goldfish out of my pond the other night. Are you going to make a coon-skin cap ? Yes, those coons can reek havoc on small ponds and the fish that inhabit them. One ate over $200 worth of Koi on a friend of mine! That coon is now dead. I might make a coon skin hat Steve. I have 3 really big hides that I need to tan. So a hat is a possibility.
