woolybear
Well I thought I was ready and up for the added challenge of hunting with trad gear. What I ended up with is a handfull of direct misses and two bloodied unrecovered deer. Figured it was time to turn this back around so a new compound was in order. I'm really digging my new PSE Bow Madness. In no time I got her dialed in to 30 yds and got her to the woods for the last 2 hrs of light. We rock and roll in the morning. She's a shooter. Time to start filling out some tags:)
rhine16
I too have tried the recurve this year. Have taken it on 4 or 5 of my 30 or so hunts. No shots yet, but I can't wait to get the opportunity. Good luck with your new bow but I bet that recurve won't stay in the closet forever. redkneck
I didnt follow up with my plan to use the longbow. Sorry about your problems Matt. My buddy got a bow madness and that thing shot great, I bet you'll love yours too.
hutchies
I may take mine out in December to see if I can connect.
Prairiepredator
If I could ever find the time, I would love to make a longbow and try hunting with it! You definately do need the patience though!
woolybear
One thing I learned for sure with that rig there is a big difference between bow close and recurve close. My ability to get recurve close just helped my bowhunting set-ups with a wheelie bow. I'm sure I'll get back to it eventually, just not this season. redkneck
IF I get mine out, it will be the last part of January. Lately I have had enough problems sealing the deal on another doe with my compound, lol.
