The Kid Posted November 11, 2009 Report Share Posted November 11, 2009 hey guys just wondering i have this stand that i save just for november,, i can watch it from across the field but i dont actually hunt the swamp till november, it makes it hard but when i do this and i get in there i see bucks all over,, just wonderin if you guys save a spot just for the rut?? WHISKEYSWAMP Posted November 11, 2009 Report Share Posted November 11, 2009 the river bottom I shot my 11 point this year, I saved to hunt during the rut... previous years I'd walk in well before daylight trying to get in before they went to their bedding areas. This year I decided to change things up and stay away from the bottom where the big boys hang out and walk in just at daylight so I could walk in quietly... the strategy seemed to have payed off and I'll try the same next year.
