wtnhunt
Just wanted to say thanks again. Randy and his buddy Mike are a couple of great guys and I had a great time, really enjoyed hunting with you two. Put a lot of time in the stand over the 6 days I was there and saw a lot of 1.5 year old bucks and had does around but the big bucks just did not cooperate for me, that is hunting. Would have thought with does bedded around me that a big buck would show at any time and did have that one 9 pointer at 44 yards on the 3rd day there. Randy was a great host and his hunting property and their qdma practice obviously are working well. They went way out of their way to make sure I felt at home, I really appreciate everything. PotashRLS
Glad you liked Wisconsin. Kudos to ya Randy for the hospitallity. Hunting is more about the time spent than the quarry bagged.
WIwhitetailhunter
Way to go Randy! Obviously if he would have to work with you his opinion would be different! j/k:clown: Those guys must be doing something right on their property because it sounds as if you saw more deer in your six days then I've seen all season. Glad to hear you had a good time.
Adjam5
Another vote of confidance for the folks on this site! Too bad you didn't connect William, but I am sure you had some great times with Randy and Mike:). Randy is one great guy...always giving . Randy
It was our pleasure William. I'm sorry the big ones didn't seem to cooperate with you. I think maybe I need to hang double stands in all the trees I sit in. Atleast you got to see a couple good ones. As far as that nine pointer goes, I think I may have a picture or two laying around at home. I'll look once and maybe post a pic of him this afternoon. I'm glad you made it home safe and hopefully one day down the road we'll get to try it again...
buckee
Pretty nice that you guys could get together for a hunt like that. That's just one more event that makes this place special.

wtnhunt
Is this the 9 pointer you saw? :o Good pic Randy. Yep, think so, but then you already knew that now didn't ya. lol. Got a really good look at his right side and then a good look at him going away. Told you I was pretty sure he had 5 on his right side. Maybe you or Mike will see the other 9 some time and get a better look at the "haircut" I gave him, too bad I aimed a little too low for that close shot. Hope Mike gets a closer shot at the 160 plus buck he saw, really looking forward to seeing what he puts on the ground.
buckee
Man, Randy that's a nice buck. Way to go buddy :) I lightened the pic a bit for ya.
Randy
It sure was a week full of ups and downs. I'm just glad no one fell asleep in their stand and fell out. LOL I give you alot of credit, you deserved a big buck, you sure put your time in the stand in. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. Did you notice I took the pic in the corn? We saw enough of that over the week too! :clown: Thanks for brightening the pic Steve, I'm pretty good looking eh??? :clown::clown::clown:
ruttinbuc
Dang, that's a keeper, Randy. Wondering why I didn't get a text on that William.... Look at the body on that thing...huge!

Got to admit I almost nodded off a few times Sunday, scared me a bit even though I had my harness on. That skinny pine needs to grow a bit bud and you need to stick a bigger stand in there. That stand being tight might not have been such a bad thing. Dang, that's a keeper, Randy. Wondering why I didn't get a text on that William.... Look at the body on that thing...huge! Yep, figured that was a 3.5 year old or better Mike. When we dragged that thing out I thought it had to weigh over 250 lbs. I did report back here on seeing the deer last week, Randy killed it the afternoon before I came home. Was another kind of late night and I was pretty well wore out. I thought about trying to text you on the way home Monday. Another vote of confidance for the folks on this site! Too bad you didn't connect William, but I am sure you had some great times with Randy and Mike:). Randy is one great guy...always giving . Well Anthony, I actually did connect. Not a monster, but good eats none the less. Another doe in the freezer, what I was working on earlier today, still have a bit of meat left to cut, trim, and package. ruttinbuc
Yes, it was great of you and Mike, Randy, to have William out to hunt. It does show just what kind of people we have here. I was hoping William would be filling the tag, but as we all know the variables play a huge role in anyone's success! Glad you all had a great time

wtnhunt
Confused for sure now! I killed a doe Sunday afternoon Mike, after watching Randy smoke that buck. I really need to update my blog. Been pretty busy playing catch up. Still have a bit of video to work on too.
Randy
I feel bad, the bigger bucks seemed to be following me around. I had seen quite a few nice bucks during the week. We had a ton of corn standing yet and they seemed to be in there. Every chance we had that the wind was right I felt William needed to be close to the corn. He always seemed to be in the wrong stand at the wrong time. My favorite stand didn't produce anything. It may have Sunday morning but poor William was a half a mile away!! LOL

Told Catrina I walked about 10 lbs off, she does not believe me. That was a long hike back to that stand on the corn, the pines were a kind of nice break. Randy
Last night mike saw a really nice buck headed towards your stand by the corn. He was in the ladder at the corner of the woods. This morning he had that big 10 pointer bedded the same spot the 9 pointer got up from. It headed to the pond to never be seen again. LOL Waiting on an update from tonight yet. Randy
Last night mike had a pretty nice 10 pointer running back and forth along the ridge. He said "it's to bad Willliam isn't sitting in his favorite little pine, he'd have been able to thwack that sucker a few times!!" LOL
GWSmith
William, Congrats on the Doe!!! I read what Catrina wrote about you coming home and waiting for you to update us on what you were bringing back home....read your Blog and did'nt see anything yet. Glad to hear about your success;)
redkneck
It sounded like a great trip. Randy that buck's pretty dang good for a bow in my book, and wouldnt pass him up with a rifle either. Long hours on the stand pay off, but it's like a slot machine... you never know when! Maybe next time you can come back to TN with some bone Randy, looks like you got a great place to hunt up there.
Chrud
Glad you had a good time, William. I guess Randy is an OK fella. :clown: It's too bad the weather wasn't better. I've never seen a "hot" stretch in November like this. I've seen a couple 60 and 70 degree days, but it has been well above 50 for over a week now.:hammer1:
