vagobbln
Does anyone have any experience with Moultrie's repair service? I have an I-40 that a bear ripped down a couple of days ago. It's not damaged too terribly bad but it did get some moisture inside it. I've dried it out but it still has some electronic glitches that need to be serviced. And yes, I know the warranty doesn't cover bears. Are there other options besides the manufacturers to get these things fixed? Thanks in advance. Guest TennesseeTurkey
Yes I just recieved an e-mail back about the display screen because mine got some moisture in it and they told me that it was under warranty if purchased under a year ago and if it wasnt they would fix it anyway and warranty the screen for another year.... go to moultries website... ruttinbuc
I would just send it back and let them decide. You are better off sending it back to the mfg.
smallmunster
I have had a couple I40's have screens that went bad and I got new cameras back to replace them within two weeks. They were under warranty though.

Tom2008
Buddy sent out two cameras to Moultrie because he had a couple of bad memory cards that screwed them up. Moultrie sent out two brand new D40s for him...no charge. Now thats good service. Each camera came with a 1 gig card too.
Soycle
Moultrie Camera Repairs I know us Nikon people tend to be elitists but Ive also used a handfull of other camera brands over the years both film and digital and I know that ALL brands have something good to offer. It begs the question, though...What is YOUR camera brand of choice?? billkay
Typically, customer service for these cams is pretty good. There's always the odd case, but I'd probably call them and let them know you're sending it in for repair. For regualr hand held cameras, repair cost begin around $150. The cost alone makes a new camera a better option.
