MichiganHunter
YUP, I've done it once, I learned the deer has to still be fresh, It can't spend the day in the back of the truck on the road in 20 degree weather....the deer will rip in half.... HOWEVER, i would do it again if the deer was still warm/fresh. My grandpa, uncle's and dad use to do it when we had a place to process our own deer. My grandpa would chain the head to a cross beam in the barn and would use his garden tractor to peal them....he would sware by it. He would start the cut around the neck and wrap a golf ball in the hide and tie a rope around that.

GWSmith
yep a gulfball and a 4 wheeler and it peels like a banana. Exactly...Except we've done it from the other end with the golfball under the tail with the hind quarters skinned by hand.
