Eric
Very nice Buck! He sure does look like a fighter, my buck I got this yr was a fighter also. His whole right side of tines are shorter and rounded off. Way to go and hope you have luck in the gun season if you are going!
muggs
I just dropped him off at the taxidermist this morning. The guy also is an official scorer for the Buckeye Big Buck Association. He said even with all the damage, he would score high 130s. I asked him what he thought he'd be if he was a typical 8 and had brow times, the guy thought high 140s...I was pretty shocked.

muggs
Must have been all that Licking county training I gave you a few years ago. It all helps man. He came from the same farm I used to hunt while I was in college. I've seen a few brutes there but never any within bow range. I tell you what, it's the most fickle area to hunt I've ever experienced. There is an emournous thicket deep in the woods the bucks love...but the thicket is huge, like 100 acres or more. I set up off trails leading from the thicket but it's so big it's hit or miss. I got lucky Saturday. That, and there is a lot of corn fields which end up as feed or corn flakes...it's still all up...they don't cut it down until very late in the season. Makes seeing deer there hit or miss in general in a lot of ways, and makes them harder to pattern. So far this year, I've seen about 4 bucks for every doe... I don't get it. Good spot though. From '99-2004 I never saw a turkey there, so far this year I've seen about 50 so it's even gotten better in some respects.
