TBow
I anticipate the peak rut every year to run November 15th to around November 25th or so in our area. I haven't been out for the gun season as I only have the one tag this year, and I usually like to keep it for the peak rut and bowhunting (as I hunt alone during the week). So Monday morning I'll be out looking for those bucks that all my buddies have been telling me were nocturnal (that they caught on their trailcams) for the past couple weeks. The weather's looking good in the long range forecast for the next week. Good luck Muff! TBow
Prairiepredator
Today was opening day for rifle whitetail here in Sask and there was a few bucks chasing after the lone does. The bucks could have not gave a care in the world about us, they were only concerned about one thing, the does. None of the bucks were really first day shooters to me though. SaskSniper
most of the bucks i have seen were either with does or trailing the scent of one. havent seen anything that has tempted me too much yet though.
