Summit users... Please help

I just purchased a Summit 180 and had a question about carrying it. I have the backpack straps on the foot platform as it shows on the box. As I was walking in the woods today, it was a nightmare. The stand seemed to not stay together as I carried it and was catching on legs and boots. I had the straps as tight as they would go on my shoulders trying to hold it up.

Does anyone have a special technique or know the "special" trick to get both parts to stay together tightly while walking into the woods????

Thanks

I put my top and bottom together. Kind of hard to explain how to do this. I am assuming you have the 2 pieces stored together right for packing. I use the strap that comes with it that goes around the tree and holds your seat platform to the tree (keeps the stand from tipping up and slipping). Anyway I put this strap around the 2 sections and cinch them together. I also have a short strap that I cinch the front edges of the stand together. This would be the part that is at the bottom (by your legs) when you are carrying it. Don't have any problems with mine. I have a Goliath, might be different than yours, don't know.

What he said, but I don't use the rung that the DVD shows you because I had the same problem with hanging up on my feet and legs. I went down one rung, the problem went away. I also have the deluxe back pack straps, what a difference. I too have the Goliath.
