countryboy89
Am just starting out on the muzzleloaders my friends tell me i need to get one but i dont have a clue how to use one. They tell me to get a T/C omega. Is that a good gun my price range is around $300 no higher the $400. thanks for your help
Rem308
The T/C Omega is a great gun, but I wouldn't neccesarily say that you have to stick to this gun. I'd say, go to a local shop and look at a few different types. I looked around quite a bit and found an inline as my first that was cheaper than your price range and I love it. Still have it...shoots great, fits me well. So, to answer your question, I'd shop around.
hungry hunter
There are too many ML out there to stay stuck on any one brand or model. I built my first 50 cal from a kit. I currently shoot a T/C Black Diamond if .50, CVA Eclispe in .45, and Traditions in .32. There is nothing wrong with the Omega, If ya got some friends to shoot different ones they are out there in your price range. Start with what you feel and what feels good too you without breaking the bank. Try hitting the Bargin Basement on some of the ML websites. I paid $80.00 for my CVA, $115 for my Traditons. wtnhunt
Hunt with a TC black diamond here, gun has served both my wife and I very well. Thinking it likely before next season we will be adding another ml'er and will likely be a TC preferably with weather shield stainless barrel. Far as sticking with a TC, it is a preference, they do make good guns, but it is all about a persons preference. Check out as many as you can and buy what you can afford and what you want. DocMort
In that price ranger there are alot of guns that will work, I have everything from a TC encore all the way down to a Rossi and a CVA wolf. The wolf is a great muzzleloader for the price, shoots great and easy to clean

bruse
I would go with a Traditons Pursuit. I have a pro and a lite. They both shoot well an are easy to maintain. Good luck bruse
Buckeye54
It's like buying a new pair of bluejeans. One size does not fit all. You got to try some on to find which one feels best.

OHBucks
My dad and I both shoot T/C Black diamond with 150 grains of pellets and 240 grain T/C Express sabots and those guns are the most accurate gun I have ever shot. The deer don't run far either!!
