Dawg
Some of you may have read my post or blog about my first mule deer buck. Well I'm getting the dude mounted!! I'm stoked! Called around locally and couldn't find a price under $450. One fella here locally wanted $550 and had a 10 month turn around so I called a few taxidermists in a town that's a hour away and found one that charged $400. She does some awesome work and has a pretty short turn around, she said about 3 months. I'm getting him done in a semi-sneak with a left turn. Can't wait!!! wyohunter
i paid 5oo three years ago on my muley so the price is right, i would check with some people she has done work for, find out if they have held up..... i had a deer done locally once and the hide started ripping within 4 years, so yeah sometimes you get what you pay for
Dawg
Thanks for the kind words guys! I was referred to her by a friend. When I took my deer down there I looked at the work she had in her shop and in her book before I ever made the final decision. She had several different mounts, a fox, a boar hog, several whitetail, fish, axis deer, fallow deer, a red stag and even an elk and they all looked great. She worked for another taxidermist for awhile and decided to open her own shop. The average price around my area was $450. The one guy was the most at $550. So her being $400 really didn't raise any red flags for me. Again, thanks for the kind words and thanks for the concern!

swampwright
I've always done the proud and to the right i like that mount. Oh and if you can get a low price on a mount doesnt mean its a bad mount. I got burned on a mount I did a couple years back still upsets me dont wish it on anyone.
