dartonman
Folks...they are hard to find in my area, but when I do, I buy as many as I can afford.....I shoot about the size of a 50 cent piece with 10 rounds at 50-75 yards, and they all touch.....absolutely love this sabot.............al

dartonman
It is my HR Ultra Slug Hunter I purchased from a wiley guy from Ohio only known as Ohiobucks, or aka Doe killer..........I shot my first deer with it last year, a 12 year old donkey doe from Illinois....went and shot the lightfields yesterday with the Swift scope and man, put three in the same hole at 75 yards in high winds...........gotta love the gun and slug combo. al

stcif
I've been shooting them since 1998 or so. Hybred EXP's. They are nice, soft lead. And heavy at 1.25 ounces. As for availablility, there is no shortage where I live. Problem is the cost. Up to about $13.00 a box which is double what they used to be. I guess it's worth it since they shoot so well. If you guys really can't find them let me know. Gander Mountain has them in New Hartford, N.Y. as well as many other stores in upstate N.Y. RangerClay
I cannot shoot Lightfields because I have a 16 ga. smooth bore. However my buddy shoots them and they are an awesome slug. I find it odd that you have a shortage around Ohio. Every Mom & Pop shop has them around here.
Ohiobucks
The Marathon gas station Chris frequents doesn't have them, so in his mind, there is a "shortage". :hammer1: :clown: There was no less than 40 boxes of 12ga and 30 boxes of 20ga at Dick's yesterday. $11.99 per box on sale from $14.99.
