Turkeygirl
Ok guys, lets see some shed photos from this spring. We need something to look at in this forum, lol. Here are a few photos of the sheds I found this spring. This is the first shed of 2004 that I found, a nice little "would have been" 4 point right side. This is the second shed of 2004 that I found and the 4 point matching left side to the shed above; found it about 3/4 mile away from the other side. This makes my 4th "shed career" matched set. This is my third shed find of the year and a really nice 3 point right side and one of the largest sheds I've found. This would be a nice buck in my area. This was my fourth shed find of the year but is not a shed from this spring. I think it is a year or more old but is in great shape; a real nice 5 point right side. Found it washed up in a creek bed. I plan to post some other photos when I get them and upload them. I want to show you a better photo of the old shed above and I also found a 5th shed of this spring which is chewed up but a really nice and thick 4 point side. Ok, let's see some others

western NY bowhunter
Re: Shed Photos Those are some nice pics and sheds ya got there. I'd like to see a better pic of that bottom 5-pt. side. Here are some pics of the sheds that I found this past spring. I found them all in westen NY too (Steuben County). They're not as good as yours (cheap disposable) and they're not field photos, but are pics. non-the-less. 1.) These are the 2 biggest that I have found. The 5-pt. side on the left scores right at 60" with a 10" G-2 and 8.5" G-3. There is about an inch total broken of the tips of the G-1, G-2 and G-4. I figure that 61" + 61" with around a 17" inside spread would give him around a 139" Gross score. I saw him several times this past summer in velvet and he's grown quite a bit and should easily score over 150." The other one looks to be a year old and scores 55" and had a double browtine but one was broken off. 2.)My biggest 2 sheds again. 3.) These are all of the sheds that I found this spring. I was happy considering that it was my first year ever actually looking for them and also taking into account how much hunting pressure our bucks face here in WNY. 4.)Here's a nice shed that a friend of my uncles found. It has 8 scorable points and scores around 68" gross typical or 75" N/T. The G-2 is 11" and the Mainbeam is 26.5." It looks like the G-3 got poked by a stick or something early in the growing process so it grew all messed up. 5.) Hopefully this coming spring I can find some bigger one and maybe even a couple of matched sets.
