wtnhunt
Really disgusting that these folks are so bent on passing legislation based on misinformation.
DocMort
I agree, I have met Sen. Young and have shot at her trap shoot for a few years. Dad said this year she is set to not let this pass. Hopefully it works.

Texan_Til_I_Die
The summary for Assembly bill 3211A, sponsored by State Assemblywoman Patricia Eddington, outlaws all .50 caliber firearms and larger weapons. According to the proposed legislation, “The .50 caliber weapon is one of the most dangerous weapons in the U.S. military’s arsenal. These weapons are used for long-range tactical assassinations and assaults in the U.S. military. That should tell you something right there when the Assemblywoman thinks the military is guilty of assassination and assault. m gardner
It was a while ago but when I went to Paul Smith's College of Forestry in Paul Smith's N.Y. we kept our guns in our rooms and there was a shooting range in the gymnasium. What happened? Mark
DocMort
Paul Smiths is still there.. They do allow guns on campus I believe but they don't have the range in the gym anymore. I guess the liberals have won somethings over.
RangerClay
I believe Paul Smith's now allows their students to keep their weapons at the Public safety office. A couple years ago a student shot a deer from their dorm window with a bow. That was the final straw. I am sooooo tired of this legislation that is introduced every year. It is the New York City/Long Island politicians who don't have a clue about the rest of NY.

So because one student illegally discharged a weapon everyone was punished for the common good?:hammer1: Why not just prosecute and expell the one cretin?
