The_Kat
I've got my dually listed on craigslist for sale and recieved a call last week by a guy interested in buying it. He asked all the right questions to make me think he was genuinely interested. He called me weds to ask if I would be interested in meeting this morning for him to look at it. I told him I was visiting family up north but if he was seriously interested I would drive home to meet him. He said he was so I canceled my family vacation early and came home yesterday. He called me lastnight to schedule the meeting for 9am this morning at a place halfway between us in Pauls Valley which is about 90 miles one way. I left at 730 after fueling up (80$) and arrived on time at 9. He wasn't there so I waited til 915 and called and got a voicemail. Again I waited til 945 and called again and let him know that I was still waiting til 10 and if I hadn't heard from him I would be leaving. Yup he never called and I left. Still haven't heard from him today as to why he never showed. The thing that ticks me off is I got up early to meet him and was out about 40$ on gas driving back n forth. Never again will I meet someone halfway off craigslist. They can come to me or can just find someone else to buy from. I hope he had a bad day lol..... sluggunner
Too many rude thoughtless people in the world I feel bad for you man, what a waste of time and money. I hope it all works out for you and you end up finding someone who gives you even more for the truck than this moron, and that the person who ends up buying your truck needs it more than the jerk who stood you up. Shaun_300
That sucks Kyle! Pretty ignorant of the guy to make you drive that far to meet him and he doesn't even show. Good luck on the sale.
backwoods07
It seems like Craigslist is 90% scammers. I've had a couple things sell on there before, so I kind of know how to weed them out. Still, every now and then a few leak through and get me going. I know the feeling Kat!! Try selling a crotch rocket! I had about 20 people come by just wanting to take joyrides.
wtnhunt
there are sure some major crumbs out there, kyle. Yep. That is a shame Kyle, some real jerks out there who just don't have any conscience. Hope things work out where you get a good buyer.
buckee
One thing I've learned in life Kyle is that you can't stop giving folks the benefit of the doubt, just because you cross paths with a few bad eggs in your life. It only makes you cold and callus. Yeah, nice guys do have "Sucker" written across their foreheads, but it's better than the alternatives ..LOL:)
rcd567
I sold my boat on Craig's list. I had every wackjob in the country reply. I did sell it but it was an adventure. Must have sent 50 people additional info. Had about 8 people look, another 4 had appointments before I sold it. Seems everyone wanted me to be their bank. ruttinbuc
I have been down that street, Kyle. Not with Craigslist, but with selling different things here and there. I was selling a drum set one time. I loaded them up and took them to where this guy was rehearsing with a band. He wanted to hear them to see if they "fit" the sound the band was looking for. Apparently, when I got there the guitarist told me the guy just got fored from the band. Guess he didn't fit...:clown: He didn't return any of my calls...wonder why? HOYTnMUZZYboy
That craigslist seems to be nothing but trouble from what I have heard. Sorry you had to waste family time and $$ on some jerk.
