Deer are TUFF animals

Well I shot my first deer with a muzzle loader Sat. evening when I shot it went down bet kept getting up and hobbling away well the evening before me bullits droped out of my pocket and forgot to put them back it. So here I am pulling everything out of my pockets just trying to find a bullet so call my buddy and told him to bring his gun to finish it off by the time we walked to where it was it was gone and seen a deer run off butt I knew it wasent the one I shot. So we couldent find any blood and searched for it after waiting a while and it was dark.

So today about 11:00am went back out and then started finding blood but it was VERY little I would find drops here and their then found it laying near a down tree and it was still alive so I took and put a round off and finished it. The bullit hit the shoulder and came out of the front and more or less mangled the insides of the front of it. How this deer lived for so long I don't know I know it would have died but I guess I just missed major areas. I have shot deer similar this way and they don't go anywhere.

I was using a CVA Optima with 100grains and powerbelts if you all want to know also the shot was about 30yds or so. Yes I just realized I spelled Tough wrong in the header.

I felt bad it lived so long guess its better then the coyotes getting it and tearing it apart. I knew it didn't go far and when ever I do shoot a deer I will spend a few days looking if I know I hit it.

I bet their is more then one word misspelled I was just typing away and just not thinking about it. Allot has to do with me looking at the keyboard and typing and not looking at the screen when doing so.
